New area manager for McCormick in South and South-West England

  • Finlay Bassett joins Argo Tractors UK to support dealers and farmers in region
  • Strengthens links between manufacturer, distributor, dealers and customers

Argo Tractors the UK distributor of McCormick products, has made a new appointment to both drive sales and develop the dealer network in the South and South-West of England.

Finlay Bassett has joined the business as Territory Manager for the those regions, in a role that will see him support McCormick dealers and help strengthen their presence in the market.

“As we continue to roll out new products, we want to capitalise on the strong working relationships we have with local family dealerships who not only supply new tractors but back them with high levels of service and a full aftermarket parts offering,” says Argo Tractors UK and Ireland Managing Director Adrian Winnett

“In the south and south-west, Finlay will now be working not only to help our existing dealers in this respect, but also to strengthen our network with new dealer appointments to ensure our McCormick brand has maximum presence in the marketplace.

“Finlay joins us with a strong and proven heritage of selling tractors, implements and construction machinery, as well as field-based technology, having worked for a UK importer and at dealer level. He has a strong background in direct selling on farm, plus skills in engineering and formal training in marketing. That makes him well-placed to help our dealers to grow sales of tractors and parts to support farmers in these regions.”

Finlay says he is looking forward to broadening the McCormick network, and helping existing dealers show customers the merits of the McCormick range and the support behind it.

“With the changes occurring across the dealer landscape, we have a great opportunity to show the importance of choice in the marketplace, the quality and specifications offered by McCormick tractors, and our support for successful family dealerships.”
