The X8 tractors are powered by FPT NEF 67 6.7-litre, 24-valve, 6-cylinder engines with turbocharger and common rail injection system that deliver up to 305 hp. The engine is located within a rugged chassis with silent block suspension. This solution helps reduce noise and vibration levels within the cab and allows maximum power transfer to the ground for enhanced performance.

The X8 is equipped with the innovative VT-Drive four-stage continuously variable transmission. Designed to combine superior performance and productivity with fuel economy, the VT-Drive continuously variable transmission makes a technological leap into the future. With its four speed ranges, the VT-Drive transmission provides smoother driving and faster acceleration.

The spacious cab interior is perfectly sound insulated and features a high-grade fit and finish with easy-clean soft-touch materials. The driving position offers a ventilated air suspension swivel seat, an adjustable steering wheel that tilts with the instrument panel, a comfortable armrest with an intuitive multifunction joystick, and a 12-inch touch screen display. The cab offers multiple storage compartments with refrigerated units; various charging sockets and a radio system with DAB+, MP3 player, Bluetooth and microphone. An automatic 8-vent climate control system maintains the desired cab temperature whatever the outdoor weather conditions. The semi-active cab suspension and the front suspended axle reduce vibrations and noise for enhanced ride comfort. Up to 20 LED work lights fitted on the cab, bonnet and fenders provide powerful lighting during night-time operation.

A high-flow hydraulic system provides a maximum total flow of 212 l/min and supplies 140 l/min to eleven electrohydraulic remote valves. A flow divider with six quick couplers controls three different hydraulic functions through a flow selector using a single remote valve. With six remotes and one three-way flow divider, the operator can control up to eight hydraulic functions.
