In fact, this tractor is satellite-guidance ready and features McCormick’s Fleet & Remote Diagnostic Management system to monitor key tractor fleet activities at any time, anywhere in the world. Thanks to IoT protocols, available both via PC and mobile devices, information on the fleet such as geolocation, consumption, levels, temperatures and work sessions are transmitted. This allows control of operational status, monitoring efficiency and avoiding the risk of problems occurring. Added to this is the possibility of remote diagnostics for software updates without having to take the tractor to the workshop.
Power, a hallmark of the McCormick brand, is epitomised by the VT-Drive transmission: a highlight of the X8 tractor. This is a four-stage TMT32 continuously variable transmission which achieves speeds of 40km/h ECO at 1,300 rpm and 50km/h ECO at 1,600 rpm.
This transmission, designed for simpler, more immediate and comfortable driving, is made even more ergonomic by the VT Easy Pilot joystick. This allows the transmission to be controlled intuitively, increasing or decreasing speed without using the accelerator pedal and managing tractor rpm using Cruise Control.
